Personal ad du jour (plus poll-ish) OK, so you know how people often have many requirements in their personal ads for the person they'd like to meet. An ad up today specifies one I've never seen before: she only wants to meet people with a credit score above 720, because "a good credit score shows you honor your commitments to someone." It stopped me short for a moment, but then I thought, OK, why not? If that's what her indicator is. If you were writing a personal ad, is there a trait you'd want in a mate that was both non-negotiable, and perhaps surprising to see in a personal ad?

Non-negotiable, perhaps surprising to some Must love animals. If you can't live with fur on the couch, you can't live with me. This is not a very surprising dealbreaker, I think. Perhaps surprising, that I have never put in a personal ad: must have an appreciation for low brow humour, possibly immature humour. There's no point putting that in an ad, since everyone likes a "sense of humour" and doesn't always understand what "low brow" means... until I say something on our first coffee get-together and my words fall like so much crap on the table in front of us. Perhaps it should read: "is forgiving of a faulty social word filter"

As long as we are equal partners in the cleaning efforts, that's fine. But if it requires the rehoming of one of my established animal family members - no deal.

so true just as an indicator of personality. Non pet people are freaks. If you have a choice between unconditional, undying love and a really clean couch and you go with the couch.......

lesbians and pets why is it, can anyone tell me, that lesbians love pets! i just came out two years ago, and i had one cat. i moved in with my girlfriend, she has x cats and x dogs. i love um all but never understood.

I suspect that its more a woman & pets thing.

maybe it's a nurturing thing. I do not want children, but I plan on a large animal family. I enjoy the work and responsibility of caring for my dogs and cats, and I love seeing them thrive under my care. I look forward to one day having space for hooved creatures.
